Out teachers and students our returning from the Campo Maior taught to the colleagues and students of the support labs to create paper flowers as learnt during the mobility. And now for them every occasion is good to create flowers for decorating the school.....

Mobilità Erasmus+ “No more walls…just bridges” Satu Mare – Romania 10 - 16 March 2019

The second mobility of the Erasmus+ project "NO MORE WALLS JUST BRIDGES" took place in Romania from 10 to 16 March 2019 at the Sports High School of Satu Mare. The Italian students, together with the French, Belgians, Portuguese and Romanians, were engaged in a series of cultural, sports and musical activities and workshops in accordance with the program provided for in the project. The Romanian delegation made us discover the history and the characteristic buildings of the city of Satu Mare through the visit of the panoramic tower, of the palace where the city administration is located, of some churches of Catholic and Orthodox rite and a city treasure hunt.

We also had the opportunity to learn about the history and cultural traditions of Romania through some guided tours at the Memorial of the Victims of Communism in Sighetu Marmației, which has greatly impressed our students for the suffering that this period has inflicted on the Romanian people, the ancient monastery of Barsana, where a community of cloistered nuns still lives, the Village-museum of Negresti Oas, with its typical medieval buildings, the castle of Carei in Transylvania and the cheerful cemetery at Sapanta, so named for the bright colors and smiling figures that adorn its tombs. The Romanian partner has organized for both students and teachers a series of activities and sports competitions in athletics, football, fencing, kayaking, handball, table tennis and basketball, with teams mixed by gender and nationality. All delegations also participated in workshops and workshops in cooking, mechanics, sewing, crafts and electronics both at the school and at some cultural and professional centers in the city. A series of folkloric and musical initiatives have animated, with dances and ballets of their own tradition, the moments of socialization, involving in turn all the delegations and creating an atmosphere of synergy and cultural exchange that has allowed us to continue to work on the construction of those "bridges" that our Erasmus project aims to create and make more effective.

LAST VIRTUAL MOBILITY “NO MORE WALLS …JUST BRIDGES” ERASMUS PROJECT

The last mobility of the project “No more wall jost bridges” took place online: for three days the partners carried out activities on the enhancement of tangible and intangible artistic heritage of their nations.
It was an original and engaging experience thanks to presentations, videos and workshops that recreated the spirit of the international meetings that we have missed so much because of the pandemic restrictions.
The mobility started on 18 May with some Ice breaking activities such as a kahoot about art played by the students. The questions were taken from the art paddlet created by all the partners.
Successively the students represented with photos, videos and presentation famous artworks by artists from each country. Some of them created copies of the artworks and other reinterpretated and chose them questioning on how digital technology and COVID has changed the perception of some values universally shared.
On 19 May the partners introduced and promoted the monumentes they adopted: Bari chose Masseria Caggiano, a farm which is located in a strategic position along the Lama Balice Regional Park close to the school; Geel presented the Gasthuisfarm, a monument close their school which needs a different new function; Montmorency presented the Collegiale Saint Martin; Satu Mare The Jewish Synagogue and Campo Major the Castle. The students works were enriched with presentations by experts on the subjects.
On 20 May the partners worked on examples of immaterial heritage of their countries. Bari organised an online cooking show during which students of cooking classes prepared dishes using ancient and traditional ingredients to be found in the Lama Balice; the Belgians presented their typical Belgian fries and songs and ceremonies of Belgian traditional celebrations such as auspicious rites of the beguinning of the year; Montmorency run an online tutorial on how to cornrow hair; Satu Mare presented handmade symbols of March – Martisor and Campo Maior run and arts and craft lab on how to make Portugese traditional paper flower.

HORTUS CONCLUSUS AT SCHOOL

In February 2020 our students who participated in the projects planted medicinal herbs in one of the courtyards of the San Paolo building because of the eco-sustainable economy of the school. The herbs will be used in the dishes prepared in the cooking workshops.

The students, together with prof. Vincenzina Vitarella and Lidia Poletto, designed the garden inspired by the cloisters of the ancient medieval monasteries. The courtyard of our school reminded them a covered cloister: a corridor runs all around the garden and connect it to the kitchen.

Despite the COVID lock down and thanks to the commitment of the caretakers of the school, most of the plants survived and the garden can actually provide the kitchens with the necessary herbs.

Third mobility of the Erasmus+ project "No more walls ....just bridges" Paris, 6-12 October 2019

The third mobility event of the Erasmus+ project "No more walls ....just bridges" took place in Paris, France, from 6 to 12 October 2019 at the Tourgot Commercial High School.
The main purpose of the project is to demolish the walls that separate the nations and build bridges that instead unite them forever and we can say that it has been fully achieved because we guys have socialized with our foreign peers and, in a short time, were born relationships of affection and friendship that continue even after the end of the mobility.
We Italian students, together with Romanians, Belgians, Portuguese and French, have been involved in various project activities, workshops and cultural tours. The French students have been tutors in visiting museums and characteristic buildings in Paris, also organizing a treasure hunt in the district of Pigalle.
We had the opportunity to visit the Louvre, where we admired many artistic beauties such as the "Mona Lisa", the "Nike of Samothrace", the "Venus of Milo" and many paintings such as the "Freedom that guides the people" and "The raft of the Medusa".
It was exciting to climb the "Eiffel Tower" and admire a breathtaking view from above.
We also visited the "Basilica of the Sacred Heart" in Montmartre.
Interesting was the walk on the "Champes Elisee" to the Arc de Triomphe.
An entire afternoon was dedicated to the "City of Science" with a visit to the Planetarium.
At Montmorency, where the school is located, we were received by the Mayor who led us to the discovery of the Government Palace and its park.
The mobility ended with the production of a TV news in which all the partners made interviews and videos on how the project is lived in each school and with the planting of the "Tree of Friendship" in the school yard.

Erasmus+, No more walls, just bridges – final virtual mobility

As part of the Erasmus + project, No more walls, just bridges, the last mobility was carried out in a virtual way. This mobility that should have happened in March 2020, in Geel, Belgium, was postponed for a year due to Covid19. However, and as the pandemic situation continued, the partner countries of the project decided to carry out some of the activities that were expected to be attended, in a virtual way. The theme of this mobility would be Art. Thus, on the first day, students were challenged to solve a Kahoot with questions about the artistic world of the five countries. Then, under the sub-theme, Art Alive, each working group presented recreations of works by renowned artists in their country. The artists chosen by the Portuguese students were Vhils and Henrique Pousão. There were also videos that were preparation tasks for this mobility.
On the second day, and with the subtopic Adopt the past, save the future, the monuments “adopted” in each of the countries were presented, namely: Portugal, the Castle of Campo Maior.
On the third and last day, special attention was paid to the immaterial heritage of each country. Each country presented this heritage in the most interesting way. Portugal sent paper and wire to its partners, already duly cut, to build a poppy, according to the flower technique of the people's festivities. A tutorial was shown, gently filmed at the Campo Maior Community Center, explaining, step by step, how to build this flower.
After these three, the partners, students and teachers, said goodbye with longing and willing to roll up their sleeves and work on the next projects in which we are involved.

Erasmus + No more walls just bridges – Campo Maior in Paris

On the 6th of October, seven students from Campo Maior High School traveled to Paris, France. The stay lasted seven days and the theme was Be Technological. Based on the work developed in each of the countries, Italy, France, Belgium, Romania and Portugal, the students participated and edited a web TV program and held workshops related to this means of communication,
During the mobility, they visited some of the most emblematic sites in the French capital, such as the Galeries Lafayette, the Eiffel Tower, the Opera, Campos Elysées, Sacre Coeur, the Louvre Museum and the Arc de Triomphe. They also enjoyed a trip by Bateaux Mouche across the Seine while at Cité des Sciences et de l'industrie they did several experiments.

The Virtual Mobility Week for Romania

After long days of preparation and hard work the students from Liceul cu Program Sportiv Satu Mare have been looking forward to meeting their friends from Europe again. And the days came... We were ready for the meeting, for this time, ready for a virtual meeting in Belgium. The days, Adopt the past, save the future, brought the past into the present, and us into the past.

1st day - Art and artists. All eager to start the activity. And the presentations started. We were all eyes and ears while paying attention to all the details after the Kahoot warm-up activity which led us into the European cultural heritage.

Presentation after presentation fallowed, later it was our turn to get the world know about our famous painters, Ștefan Luchian, Nicolae Tonitza and Aurel Popp, the least one born in the county of Satu Mare. Our students got deeply involved in some painting imitations in order to make them alive again.

2nd day -Monument adoption. A wonderful visiting day when we learnt many interesting things about the monuments chosen to be adopted for the project. The Romanian students adopted the Synagogue of Satu Mare, an old monument which needs restauration after so many years of existence after the Jews' deportation to Auschwitz. A virtual live tour of the Synagogue was included to our presentation.

3rd day - Workshops within the cultural intangible heritage of each country - an interactive day with a lot of art and craft. Romania put the Mărțișor on the agenda while learning the tutorials of the other countries and while feeling nostalgic about the hours spent in the Italian kitchen at our first project meeting.

Enjoy your Nature!

The participants met the biologist João Paulo Silva and nature photographer Ricardo Lourenço who gave a lecture about the region's fauna and flora. After having lunch at the school cafeteria, a field trip followed to observe and photograph the local fauna and flora and do some bird watching. The group was also able to experiment with various camouflage techniques.
It was interesting for some specially because Campo Maior is situated in the countryside while the majority of the participants come from (big) cities. It was a moment of cooperation and collaboration.
As real nature lovers, all the participants met the Nature and respected it by leaving all the places as they found it: clean!
